I wondered what that loud sound was early this morning ... I said to myself "naaaaw that's not what happened" when I instinctively knew exactly what happened.
I could see the fear and worry in his eyes and I opened my arms to him and gave him the biggest hug. I kissed him on the forehead and held him tight.
It was in this moment that I realized that my kids do need me still. We both learned a lesson this morning.
I learned I'm still needed.
He learned to start the car with his foot on the brake ... at all times.
